Find out how the first season of Istra Inspirit went
The project Istra Inspirit which has been started in 2012 and has been organized by the Istrian County, Tourist Board of Istria and Istrian Tourism Development Agency has successfully completed its first season in which it has revived stories based on Istrian myths and legends to its guests.
The total of 24 events has been held of which the first one was held in June by the Jules Verne's escape from the Pazin Castle, and the last one was held on 28th of September on the streets of the old town in Poreč.
The nine diverse cultural, historical and gastronomical experiences revived the authentic locations in Istria and it has presented them in a completely different way. The Istrian castles, Roman villas, old town cores, museums, and even a coal mine in Raša, were turned into a stage and along with superb directing, scenery, costumes and music have managed to evoke the moments of mystical Istrian history.
For the complete experience of certain historical periods, the special meals have been prepared, for example a Roman feast, seafood menu, romantic breakfast, miner's brunch, Renaissance banquet, the Jules Verne dinner...
Already in its premiere year, Istra Inspirit has created a complete brand which includes its own authentic souvenirs which could be purchased at each Inspirit experience.
With the constant involvement of the project manager, organizational teams, booking and call center, the production of the program includes the 40 professional actors, 80 amateurs, director, playwright, as well as 10 representatives of technical staff and students of the University in Pula, Department of Culture and Tourism.
The Istra Inspirit project has received its first award, it has been awarded for the most creative and innovative tourist product, by a prestigious CBTour award for the best creative program of the Croatian business tourism which has been awarded by the Energo Media Service Group and Sigma, the Association of Innovators.
The new Inspirit events are scheduled for the preseason of 2013, when we can expect improved and even more imaginative experiences, full of interaction, new plots and interesting unraveling of historical stories. Find out more about the news by following Inspirit on web and Facebook!
