Happy December in Istria

Feel the holiday spirit in Istria while walking through the streets and attending events. Christmas fairs offer a variety of ideas for gifts and home decorations while town squares abound in good music, mulled wine and excellent festive food.

Children and adults have prepared for you numerous Christmas concerts and performances in churches and theaters, as well as the inevitable arrival of Santa Claus.

A Christmas fair will be held in December in Brtonigla. This year’s fair will invite you to experience a holiday story with unique hand-made and local products, which can make a great Christmas gift. The Advent in Poreč is always interesting to both adults and children - free ice skating, events, concerts, good traditional food and, as every year, an unforgettable New Year's Eve Party with great music and entertainment.

A real Christmas Magic will take place in Rovinj in December while there is also great music at the Rovinj Music Festival. Should you decide to spend New Year’s Eve in Rovinj, famous Croatian singers will entertain you and your friends on the main square.

In Pula, different events under the name December in town will be held every day, including the Creativity Fair which is an ideal place to find Christmas gifts. Spend the New Year's Eve on one of the town squares with live music and great entertainment.

The Christmas-New Year's Fair, as part of the happy December events, will be organized for all ages in Pazin. A live nativity scene will welcome you on the streets of Sveti Lovreč. The performances in the open always attract attention.

Past and present are intertwined everywhere in Istria, as well as in gastronomy. Meals that used to be prepared for Christmas can still be found on the today's Christmas menu - with some changes.
