Parkfest

If you just can't decide what time of the year to visit Novigrad – do it in June and don't miss one of the biggest festivals in this part of Istria, the PARKFEST Sound Festival. Ten parks in Novigrad will become a stage gathering culture creators all day long with the objective of creating sound … or perhaps silence. As with previous annual incarnations, the event will feature many top performers from the music and art scene and will offer a venue for the affirmation of young new performers (musicians, artists, actors, children and others).

The event evokes the creation of sound themes in:
Stage plays
Children's workshops
Yoga workshops (mantras)
Art installations and performances
And, of course, music itself, i.e. concerts.

Parkfest emerged from a passion for music, socialising, Novigrad. It has been staged for the past decade by enthusiasts with different artistic and social activity background gathered in the Mokar prst (Wet Finger) Association. The members of the association will perform in their own productions of sound installations and acts.

The open-air nature of the festival and that fact that it takes place in public areas around the town gives this event a very specific sound that also includes all the variety of street life. It is accessible to all, entry to all events is free of charge and there is a strong focus on interaction with the audience and audience participation in various activities.
