The month of July sees Labin transformed into a true “art republic”. The town’s Little Theatre, its church, old square, streets and stairs take on the roles of stages on which perform a variety of theatrical groups and musicians. It all begins with sound of jazz on the summer stage at Špina in the old town, announcing the Labin Jazz Republic, a festival hosting mEmento Rijeka, Tamara Obrovac and Matija Dedić, Dina Rizvić and guests.
Musical, theatrical and art performances will take place in outdoor and indoor venues throughout the old town, and the alluring sounds of harmony-singing groups (klapa), orchestras of classical music and folklore music, and jazz bands will resound through the streets of Labin. The art studios, galleries and collections of renowned painters will be open to visitors.
