Savudrija - Crveni Vrh
The Adriatic golf club, located at Crveni Vrh close to Savudrija and near the city of Umag is a part of the hotel chain Kempinski. According to many golfers, the wavy course and almost idyllic landscape provide the golf club Adriatic course with real charm and challenge.
Golf Adriatic course was opened in 2009. This is the first professional course with 18 holes 6360 meters long, deployed on 80 acres. Those with less sport ambitions have at their disposal a shorter course of 4690 meters.
The course is planned according to the PAR 72 standard region and designed by the famous Austrian architecture duo - Diethard Fahrenleitner and Barbara Eisserer. Their effort has been recognized and for this very first project in Croatia they won the “Golf Art Landscape” award.
Whilst designing this course, they really paid attention to fit it perfectly in the natural surroundings making a real small natural park.
The field is not easy at all, neither for professionals nor for amateur players. The average time necessary to pass it is four hours. This area is one of the windiest areas in Istria therefore the player must overcome another challenge – the wind.
The wind can play a significant role, along with strategically placed bunkers and skillfully crafted greens.
The thing that particularly differs the Savudrija golf course from the others is its position. Located less than 300 m from the sea and immersed in the natural context it is undoubtedly interesting, it's a place where you can play golf 365 days a year. Beside the sea view, Adriatic golf club offers a great panoramic view on typical Mediterranean landscape of vineyards, olive groves and evergreen vegetation. Accordingly, the names of the starting points courts are: Vineyard, Seaview, Olive trees, Romanic church…
