Northern Istria
NORTHERN ISTRIA has nine circular tracks 400 kilometres long. Although very demanding, they offer a very impressive view. Your effort put into reaching the beautiful picturesque hills will be rewarded by wonderful sights of the intact Istrian nature that “hides” small towns, villages, and hamlets revealed only by “red roofs and white walls”.
The trails cover circular sections but pass through lovely villages in which the warm Istrian heart of the locals is always moved by the arrival of guests. The first trail passes through small towns lying on hilltops, through Vrh, Paladine, Motovun and Livade, known for truffles. The other trail will bring you to Baredine Cave, almost the nicest natural phenomenon of Istria. One of the bike trails in northern Istria passes through the smallest town in the world - Hum.
