1/2/3. The Gobo, Piranor and Buje Shoals
Underwater mines and torpedoes from World War II can be found at depths from 8 – 14 m. This site is suited to beginners because visibility is excellent due to the rocky seabed. Diving instructors often bring course attendants to this site so they can practise boat diving and open water diving.
4. Crveni vrh
North-east of Stara Savudrija port, at a distance of 500 metres, there is a location tailor made for all
divers - not too deep, and visibility is mainly good. The cliff slowly drops off to a depth of 18m, and
the most interesting part is a wall constituted of thousands of classical period amphora.
5. Moj mir
Around 500 metres from the shore, in front of the Savudrija lighthouse, at a depth of 15 metres, is a wrecked and ancient ship from the Roman period. Around the wreck amphorae can be seen lying in the sand. Its frequent visitors are sea eels which live under the amphorae as well as crabs and other animal and plant species from the Adriatic underwater world.
6. Lanterna
Lanterna is located on the cape of the homonymous peninsula, and is an especially attractive location for night dives. The entrance is located under the lighthouse. Lanterna is ideal for beginners, but it will be interesting for advanced divers as well because of its rich flora and fauna and numerous remains of classical period ceramics. Encounters with seahorses are almost the rule here.
7. Busula
The shallows off the Busula peninsula, 200 meters long and 50 metres wide, are an attractive location because of the large underwater rocks and the many fish which find a safe haven here. Various ceramic fragments and two large iron anchors stand out especially.
