  A brand new photomonography about selected Istrian winemakers has just been published. This bilingual, Croatian-English publication entitled ''Istrian Wine Wizards'' has been marked by the peculiar style of our famous photographer Stjepan Lepen, known as Lupino, while the texts have been written by the great connoisseur of the Istrian eno-gastronomy, Ranko Borovečki.

• Park Plaza Hotels to open two hotels in Croatia under the four-star Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts brand

  Amsterdam – Park Plaza Hotels, owner and operator of upscale and lifestyle hotels, today announced the start of the rebranding of two Resort Hotels of the Arenaturist group, one of the leading hospitality companies in Croatia. After extensive renovations, Park Plaza Histria Pula and Park Plaza Verudela Pula are set to open their doors in May 2012.

  Amsterdam, 05 March 2012 – PPHE Hotel Group Limited, owner and operator of primarily full service upscale and lifestyle hotels, today announced the extensive renovation and rebranding of Hotel Medulin – part of the Arenaturist group, a leading hospitality company in Croatia.  Scheduled for opening April 2012, Park Plaza Medulin will be the first Croatian opening for the group, with Park Plaza Histria Pula and Park Plaza Verudela Pula opening their doors in May 2012.

• New air route from Paris to Pula

  The introduction of a new air route from Pula to Paris (Beauvais) was announced today by the Istrian Tourist Board and Ryanair, one of the world's leading low-cost carriers. The new line will operate twice a week from 16th of May 2012 summer season, with fares starting from €30.99 o/way including taxes.

  The tourist milieu has received great news from the USA – the influential website Fodors.com has included Istria among the most interesting travelling destinations in 2012 in the world. This is a website with more than 1,5 million visits that operates within Fodor's Travel, the biggest world publisher of travel and tourism publications in English language.

• Pula closer to Munich and Manchester

  The British low-budget air carrier Jet2.com will be introducing a new direct line from Manchester to Pula from May of the next year, connecting the two cities once a week, on Saturdays, from 19th May through 6th October 2012.

• Istria is Once Again the Favourite Region of German Car Drivers

  Istria has become the most popular regional destination of German car drivers for the second time. According to the latest research of the famous ADAC automobile club published in November, Istria increased its advantage against the other regions by 0, 6% in comparison with the previous year.
