Presentation of the guide to the best extravirgin olive oils Flos olei 2012

It is our great pleasure to announce that Istria is once again presented in the Flos olei guide, often called 'the Bible of extra virgin olive oils', this year with as much as 43 producers.

According to the quality of the oils, and as demonstrated by the inclusion in the guide, main experts of the field have placed Istria amongst world's selected olive oil areas, or more precisely, at the second place after Tuscany.

In particular, we want to emphasize the fact that for the seventh year in a row Istrian producers have been placed in different categories amongst 15 world's best olive oil producers. This year the honour belongs to Giancarlo Zigante from Livade and Olea BB (Bosiljka i Duilio Belić) from Rabac.

For that reason, we are preparing an apposite presentation that will take place in Buje, in Hotel Casino Mulino, on May 25th starting at noon.

Mr Marco Oreggia, head editor of the guide, journalist, eno-gastronomic critic, consultant and a renowned elaiotechnical expert in Italy and abroad, will hand out awards to the Istrian producers chosen by Flos olei guide.
