American Bike Agency Sacred Rides frequently in Istria
14.08.2009.
Last year's efforts of the Regional Administrative Department for Tourism to find agencies from new emissive markets and to encourage their frequent presence in Istria have given results after only a few months! The Agency Sacred Rides from the US has already booked two several-days arrivals of some groups of riders to Istria - the first group has just left our peninsula and the September term has already been fully booked.
The groups consist of about twelve people, predominantly from the North American continent (US and Canada) and are oriented to bike trips, looking chiefly for singletracks or some interesting forest-tracks and easier freeride descents. The important thing is to go on a bike ride together and have fun, so the riders stop frequently for various tastings and sightseeing along the way and often have a good time by going to the beach or by taking a boat trip in the afternoon.
From our conversation with the agency owner, Mr Mike Brčić, four terms have been partially booked for the year 2010 and they are planning on increasing their supply owing to a big demand on the market.
He points out that the demand is really high, especially bearing in mind that only 7-8 months have passed from our first test trip and the beginning of the cooperation with our Department.
He describes the collaboration as being extremely successful and Istria as a top-destination!
