52. Meeting of Croatian Choirs is a national event with a long tradition that brings together the best Croatian amateur choirs and choir lovers on an annual basis. The aforementioned Meeting is one of the 10 national events organized annually by the Croatian Parliament of Culture, and will feature the most successful choirs from 10 Croatian counties with more than 500 singers. 13 selected Croatian choirs will perform at this year's Meeting, who have had to perform through 10 county and regional festivals and 2 individual listening sessions, as well as guests: the female choir "Teranke" from Pula, the choir of the "Bernardo Benussi" primary school and the "Klapa Valdibora" from the host city, Rovinj. The program of the 52nd Meeting is made up of a competition and a show which will be completely free of charge for the audience. The competition program will take place on the first day of the Meeting, on October 5, from 5 pm in the Adris Concert Hall, before the expert committee consisting of Bogdan Đaković, Ivan Josip Skender and Luka Vukšić. The program will be held in two locations. On Saturday, the choirs will perform in the central square of the host city under the creative title "Choirs Sing to Rovinj - ad libitum" from 6 pm, while on Sunday, October 6, from 11.30 am, a concert will be held at the Lone Hotel. The works of Croatian composers will have a special place at the 52nd meeting of the choirs, and one of the participants of the Meeting will be awarded the Croatian Composers' Award for the best performance of the works of a Croatian composer. In addition to the bronze, silver and gold plaques of the 52nd Meeting, there will also be an Award for the most successful performance of the show part of the program, which will be decided by a committee composed of representatives of the choir. The choir with the highest number of points will be awarded the Grand Prix 52. Meetings of Croatian choirs, as well as the appearance on Postcard of cultural and artistic amateurism of the Republic of Croatia in 2020. In addition to the Croatian Parliament of Culture, the organization of the Meetings this year is signed by Maistra d.d., Klapa Valdibora and the Croatian Composers Society with the material support of the City of Rovinj and the Tourist Board of the City of Rovinj, under the auspices of the Istria County and with the material support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia.
