The Handover of the City Key to the Master of Carnival takes place at the City Hall, Thursday, January 17 at 4.30 pm. After that, at 5.30 pm, the “Pust”- traditional culprit for all the last year’s troubles, is then hoisted near the traffic lights at Veli Vrh. The traditional burning of the “Pust” takes place on Tuesday, February 25, at 7 pm.

On February 8, the Carnival Parade leaves Karolina at 11 am, led by Pula’s majorettes and Pula’s Wind Orchestra. The Carnival Parade passes through the entire city center, and just like every year, the presentation of carnival groups takes place in front of the Arena and at Portarata Square. During the Carnival Parade, from 11 am to 1 pm, there will be temporary traffic restrictions in the center of Pula, in the area Karolina-Riva waterfront-Arena-Portarata.

Lunch will be provided for all participants in the tent at Karolina, followed by entertainment program with “Point Band” from Rijeka and DJ Teddy Lee.
In case of bad weather or rain, the entire event may be moved to the following day, Sunday, February 9.
