Metropolitan conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts an opera based on the touching memoirs of Charles M. Blow composed by Grammy-winning jazz musician and composer Terence Blanchard. It is the first opera by an African American composer, while the libretto was written by the director and actress Kasi Lemmons. The work offers us a detailed and profound vision of the life path of a young man full of trauma and problems.
