European Majorette Championship

For the first time, Novigrad will host the European Majorette Sport Championship, to be held from 22 to 25 June in the town’s sports hall. Both locals and guests will get to enjoy attractive performances of the best European majorettes, who will also parade through the old town streets.

Some 2000 talented girls from ten European countries will perform around 600 choreographies during the competition, with as many as 140 performances a day.

Majorettes will compete in four different age categories in solo, duet or trio performances or small and large formations, using batons, pom poms, flag batons, flags, a combination of props, and scenography. Their skills, precision and uniqueness will be assessed by licensed IFMS judges from all member associations.

On Thursday evening (23 June), the international majorette teams participating in the competition will parade through Novigrad’s streets and give a performance on the main square.
