Big Band Pula plays Ellington

The Big Band Pula has been active since 1996 as part of the Wind Orchestra of the city of Pula. 
Since 2009, it has been led by trumpeter Branko Sterpin, who continued the work of the first, long-time leader of this ensemble - Davor Lorković. The basis of the repertoire consists of compositions from the classic big band repertoire, that is, from the swing period, which were made famous by Frank Sinatra, Benny Goodman, Count Basie and others.
This evening, the Pula Big Band will dedicate to Duke Ellington, one of the most influential musicians in the history of jazz music, and perform some of the numerous compositions that "Duke" performed with his orchestra.
