Exciting news coming from Oprtalj for all Istria lovers and good wine enthusiasts: a new festival dedicated to orange wine is coming soon!
The festival of orange or amber wines will bring about twenty exhibitors from Istria, Primorje and Slovenia together in Oprtalj. It will be a unique opportunity for visitors to get to know this special type of natural macerated wine. The process of white wine maceration extracts colours and aromatic substances from the grape skins, after which the wines, like red wines, have a longer shelf life.
In addition to excellent wines, visitors will be able to taste and buy a number of original local products offered by local producers.
The Alpe Adria Amber Festival starts at 2 p.m., and all those interested can enjoy this charming event until 8 p.m.
