Olive oil producers

Banjolac

Medulin

Details:

The farm owned by Mario Crnobori has been active in Banjole, in the Medulin area, since 2005. It is a small estate consisting of 2 hectares of specialized olive grove with 310 trees of numerous local and imported varieties. In the last harvest 50 quintals of olives were produced, which allowed to yield 5 hectolitres of extra virgin olive oil.

The selection proposed to the Flos Olei panel was the very good Monocultivar Extra Virgin Banjolac - Istarska Bjelica. It is a beautiful intense limpid golden yellow colour with delicate green hues. Its aroma is definite and elegant, characterized by rich hints of aromatic herbs, especially mint and rosemary. Its taste is robust and rotund, endowed with a vegetal flavour of artichoke, chicory and country lettuce, together with strong notes of black pepper and a sweet almond finish. Bitterness is powerful and pungency is distinct and harmonic.
