Olive oil producers

Uljara Grubić

Bale-Valle

Details:

Bale is the historic birthplace of Istrian indigenous cultivars, as testified by an ancient oil mill dating back to 1930, a symbol of olive tradition. Unfortunately, in the second half of the last century, it was deserted, until, in 2006, Emanuel Grubić and his family purchased and renovated it completely. Today the estate, which is supplied with machinery of the latest technology, includes 8 hectares of olive grove with 1,700 trees. In the last harvest 350 quintals of olives were produced, with a yield of 30 hectolitres of oil (2021).

The Monocultivar Extra Virgin Grubić - Buža is a beautiful intense limpid golden yellow colour with slight green hues. Its aroma is clean and rotund, with hints of medium ripe tomato, banana and white apple, together with notes of basil, mint and parsley. Its taste is fine and vegetal, with a flavour of celery and lettuce. Bitterness is distinct and pungency is present and well balanced.
