Olive oil producers

Zanini Guido

Rovinj-Rovigno

Details:

Another brilliant performance for the farm Zanini, an interesting oil farm situated in the district of Rovinj, one of the most popular tourist resorts in Istria. Since 1990 it has been run by Guido Zanini, who manages a surface of 2 hectares of specialized olive grove with 500 trees. In the last oil harvest 100 quintals of olives were produced, equal to a yield of almost 11 hectolitres of extra virgin olive oil. The excellent selection proposed, the Monovarietal Extra Virgin Zanini - Buža, is an intense limpid golden yellow colour with light green hues. Its aroma is ample and rotund, rich in fruity hints of unripe tomato, white apple and banana, together with notes of celery, fresh broad beans and lettuce. Its taste is complex and strong, with notes of officinal herbs, especially basil, field balm and parsley. Bitterness and pungency are present and harmonic. It would be ideal on tuna carpaccio, baked porcini mushrooms, marinated chicken, barbecued radicchio, bean soups, pasta with sausages, blue fish au gratin, stewed red meat or game, hard mature cheese.

Number of trees: 500
