• Aquarium Pula is the largest aquarium in Croatia, located in the 130-year-old Verudela fortress, on the peninsula of the same name. On the ground floor of the fort there is an Adriatic exhibit and part of the Sea Turtle Recovery Center, on the first floor there is a tropical marine exhibit that includes tropical sharks. In addition to them, it is also possible to see a refuge for noble periwinkles, jellyfish, flatfish and fish of the North Sea. In the moat of the fort there is an exhibition of cold freshwater habitats, a walk with butterflies and Evolution, while on the roof you can see an exhibition of the Amazon. The aquarium is only 4 km from the city center, and it can be easily reached by public transport (lines 2A and 3A ), which is also a recommendation due to limited parking spaces.
