During these autumn months, Poreč has traditionally played host to numerous sporting events, while in October it also hosts one of the most exciting sporting events of the region. Under its powerful motto “Push Beyond Your Limits”, the Plava Laguna Ironman 70.3 triathlon holds the title of one of the most popular triathlons in this part of Europe.

While the main event of the competition takes place on Sunday, October 19th, in the beautiful coastal setting of southern Poreč, surrounded by crystal clear seas, mediterranean nature and facilities of Plava Laguna’s resort Zelena, the true family spectacle begins the day before.

Saturday is reserved for the young ones; that is, for the cheerful and energetic IronKids races. This popular children’s event gathers numerous young athletes and their parents every year, making for an unforgettable atmosphere filled with laughter, cheering and first sporting achievements and successes. IronKids is more than a race, it is an opportunity for kids to experience the true spirit of sport and community – in a safe and inspiring environment.

Along with children’s races, the whole weekend will be defined by sport, good fun and a nice atmosphere – from exciting performances by the competitors, to a delightful culinary offer and accompanying program for our visitors.
