Musica Sacra
Musica Sacra is a festival of friendship dedicated to the beauty of sacred choral music. It began over 20 years ago in Austria under the name “Musica sacra über die Grenzen” (“Musica Sacra Across Borders”), initiated by conductor Manfred Linsbauer with the vision of uniting people from Austria and neighbouring countries through shared musical expression.
Over the years, the festival has been hosted in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy, and Slovenia. In 2015, it arrived in Croatia for the first time, taking place in Vrsar. During their stay in Istria, participants perform in various locations — including Vrsar, Rovinj, and Pazin — while the program also includes vocal workshops and a roundtable dedicated to sacred music.
