Present in our Guide for many years with good results, the Buršić family runs a high quality oriented farm. Since 1998 they have been practising olive growing in the village of Nova Vas, to the south of Brtonigla, in the fertile valley of the river Quieto. Here, on a specialized olive surface of 10 hectares, Maria and Franko cultivate 3,000 olive trees, which produced 330 quintals of olives in the last harvest, equal to a yield of 31 hectolitres of oil.

We recommend the selection proposed to the panel, the very good Extra Virgin De Kleva, which is a beautiful intense limpid golden yellow colour with slight green hues. Its aroma is clean and rotund, rich in vegetal hints of artichoke, chicory and lettuce, together with aromatic notes of mint and rosemary. Its taste is elegant and complex, with a spicy flavour of cinnamon, black pepper and a sharp almond finish. Bitterness is definite and pungency is distinct and harmonic.
