Description in the Flos Olei guide

The origins of this farm date back to the late 19th century, when Tone, an ancestor of the current owner, who worked occasionally for some Italian landowners, received a plaid shirt as a daily allowance. For this reason, he was nicknamed “Latini”, as the Italians were known locally. Hence the name of the current brand, as well as the choice of dressing the bottle of oil with a checkered pattern.

The olive grove takes up almost 2 hectares with 450 trees, which produced about 42 quintals of olives and 6 hectolitres of oil in the last harvest. The Extra Virgin selection Latinka is a beautiful intense limpid golden yellow colour with light green hues. Its aroma is fine and rotund, with vegetal hints of artichoke and chicory, together with aromatic notes of mint and rosemary. Its taste is mellow and harmonic, with a flavour of lettuce and a finish of black pepper, cinnamon and almond. Bitterness and pungency are present and complimentary.
