Description
Pervino, a family winery based in Novigrad, was founded in 2002 by Željko and Nadija Peršurić, continuing a winemaking tradition established by Željko's great-grandfather as early as 1914. From the very beginning, their daughters Marina and Željka have played an active role in the business, while the arrival of their son-in-law, Pavle Antonić - now the driving force behind the winery - has brought fresh momentum to the development of the family estate.
Today, the family cultivates 15 hectares of vineyards on exceptional sites between Novigrad and Dajla, close to the sea, on deep Istrian red soil. Until 2002, the vineyards formed part of a large agricultural cooperative and had not been properly maintained. Through systematic restoration over the past couple of years, however, they have been fully revitalised and now produce grapes of outstanding quality. The winery's portfolio is centred on the indigenous varieties Malvazija istarska and Teran, complemented by international varieties such as Chardonnay, Yellow Muscat, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Pervino offers around twenty wine labels. In addition to its modern winery, visitors can enjoy an elegantly appointed tasting room. A particular highlight is the Pervino Wine Bar, located in the picturesque Mandrač in Novigrad. Its terrace, set right by the sea, provides the perfect setting to savour the winery's wines while taking in views of the harbour and the sea horizon.
