Record tourist year in Croatia

In Croatia in 2017 18.5 million of arrivals (+13 percent) and 102 million of overnight stays (+12 percent) have been registered. This is the data from the eVisitor system reporting the tourist traffic in commercial and non-commercial structures and in the nautical charter (eCrew system) in the period from January to December 2017.

These are historical tourist results for Croatia, confirming its position as one of the most popular tourist destinations, attracting more and more guests each year, all year round.

There were 16.5 million of foreign tourists arrivals in 2017 (+14 percent) and 89.8 million of overnight stays (+12 percent), while the domestic tourists had 12 million of overnight stays (+14 percent). Most overnight stays were registered in Istria (28 mil.), in Split-Dalmatia County (19 mil) and in the Kvarner region (18.6 mil).

Overnight stay top destinations are Dubrovnik, Rovinj, Poreč, Medulin, and Umag
