This year's award "Hotel Property Award 2020", one of the most prestigious awards in the industry, won Maistra's Grand Park Hotel Rovinj in the competition of 40 hotels from 12 European countries. Since 2002 the prize has been awarded for the originality of the accommodation concept, architectural quality, integration into the project’s surroundings, design, innovation (planning and construction, design, operation and technology, as well as related processes, sustainability), as well as profitability. The growing number of registered hotels in recent years is a confirmation of the growing importance of this award in the hotel industry.

The Award was presented as part of the hotelforum conference. Andreas Martin, Managing Director of hotelforum management GmbH: “This year’s prize-winner has impressed us by successfully combining the clear, modern architectural language of Croatian architects 3LHD from Zagreb with the elegant Italian interior design signature of Piero Lissoni and partners from Milan. The Grand Park Hotel Rovinj is integrated into the surroundings in such a way that guests can enjoy a variety of spectacular views of the bay and of the town of Rovinj. In combination with the intensive greening of the building, this means that the hilly coastline between the waterside and the surrounding pine trees is treated with respect.”

The Grand Park Hotel Rovinj was opened in April last year as the largest individual investment of the Adris Group in the tourist part of the business, worth almost HRK 700 million. The newest hotel in the Maistra Collection brand is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World organization. It is located opposite the old town of Rovinj, overlooking the church of St. Euphemia and the island of St Katarina. On six floors of the hotel, guests have at their disposal 209 rooms and suites, six restaurants and bars, a shopping promenade and the Albaro Wellness & Spa, which was named one of the best spas in this year's Red Best Spa edition.
