The Monte Mulini hotel by Maistra Inc has been awarded the Q Mark for service excellence by the Ministry of Tourism of Croatia. Monte Mulini is one of only three hotels in Croatia to have been awarded the prestigious quality certificate based on the ratings of the Ministry of Tourism Committee and mystery guest evaluations. 

The Q Mark is not only a confirmation of service excellence, but is also perceived as an investment in quality promotion, development and continuous improvement. Hotels awarded the Q Mark continuously invest in the professional development of their employees, operate in accordance with environmental standards, care about employee and customer satisfaction and safety and cooperate with local communities. The quality mark is a voluntary certification awarded on request and reassessment is carried out every three years.

'The competitiveness of Croatian tourism will be the primary focus of interest of the Ministry of Tourism during this term of office, and quality is one of the key elements in its strengthening', said Croatian Tourism Minister Veljko Ostojić at the Q Mark Awards Ceremony. He added that markets recognize the Q Mark as a symbol of excellence, and hotels are incited and awarded for setting their levels of service well above the market standard and proving their high quality management skills.

'The Q Mark is a great example of cooperation between the public and private sectors. This is a project of great value that will surely strengthen the competitiveness and add market value to all hotels awarded the prestigious award', explained Manager Luxury Division at Maistra Inc Mr. Peter Lösch, adding that this is a second recognition earned by Monte Mulini just before peak tourist season. Also, as of June 1st Monte Mulini will become a member of a collection of the world's most prestigious hotels, resorts and spa centres - The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW).

Monte Mulini is the first 5* boutique hotel in Rovinj, and an investment worth almost 200 million kuna, open since March 2009. The hotel is superbly located within meters from the beach and in close proximity to Rovinj, nestled in luscious Mediterranean greenery and unobtrusively blended into the serene setting of the centennial Zlatni rt forest park. The hotel was designed by Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo, a famous architecture studio with clients such as Ritz-Carlton, Hilton, Le Meridien, One&Only, Four Seasons and Kempinski. The hotel comprises two fine dining restaurants - Wine Vault and Mediterraneo - a wellness centre covering 1000 square meters and 99 rooms and 14 suites affording commanding views of the sea and Rovinj's historic sights.
