The 4th edition of Olio Capitale (www.oliocapitale.it , the Exhibition of typical and quality extra-virgin olive oils, with a rich program of side events, shall take place from 5th to 8th March 2010 in Trieste (Italy). According to last estimations, more than 200 exhibitors representing the best in extra-virgin olive oils from all over Italy as well as from Croatia, Slovenia and Spain shall join this year's edition.

As a result of long lasting collaboration of the County of Istria with the Italian national association Città dell'Olio (Cities of Oil) www.cittadellolio.it , the Istrian extra virgin olive oil producers will take part in it again this year as to try to reaffirm Istria as a successful region on the world scene of olive growing and olive oil production.

An innovation of the 2010 edition will be the organisation of the “1st Expo of Table Olive”, an event within the event that will be a reference and meeting point for the demand and supply sides of this industry. The event's main goal is to build wider knowledge about extra-virgin olive oil and its characteristics.

The targets are those areas of Europe whose significant economic growth in recent years has made them receptive to an increasingly quality-focused niche market; and also the general public and those who need to be able to offer the final consumer one of the most characteristic "mediterranean diet" products, paying increased attention to discernment of taste.

Olio Capitale expo will take the form of a “container of activities” designed to attract visitors from Italy and abroad, as a top event that will have the city buzzing.
