The fifth international MTB race entitled "Istria Valamar Terra Magica" was held as planned, but this time it lasted for three days not just one. The race was organized by the Istrian County Administrative Department for Tourism, Istria Tourist Board and IRTA d.o.o., along with the main sponsors Agrolaguna d.d., Favorit, Keindl sport and Milsing d.o.o. Zagreb.

The applications received had been announcing a well-attended race, however, extremely bad weather conditions in the last couple of weeks have made a significant number of participants cancel their arrival. In spite of this, some 130 cyclists from Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and Austria rode the race. The attractive locations of Lanterna and well-equipped hotel facilities of Valamar d.d. confirmed to be just the place for this kind of manifestation. Nice weather on Friday and Sunday made the participants' impressions even better.

On the other hand, the Saturday stage organized with the help of the Tinjan Municipality (on the occasion of the Municipality Day), scored for the Croatia Cup, was a real test for both organizers and participants. Heavy rain, chilly weather, muddy treks full of puddles were the total opposite from the Friday and Sunday race. The demanding circumstance made everybody give their best, but, as it turned out, the participants were up to this kind of situation. 

Finally, the manifestation was held with no incident whatsoever to everybody's satisfaction, while the stories about the Saturday race will be told for a long time in this way promoting the event even more. The event was attended by the press and PR agents from Italy, thanks to their years long collaboration with the Administrative Department for Tourism, accompanied by extensive media coverage in the region (Radio Istra, Glas Istre) as well as the whole of Croatia.
