Valamar Diamant Hotel from Poreč/Istria was awarded with a mark "HolidayCheck TopHotel 2013", a recognition for high quality standard of hospitality services. Reviews of guests that visited the hotel in 2012 and rated their stay on one of the world's top travel websites HolidayCheck helped secure a position for Valamar Diamant in the list of 467 best hotels in the world.

HolidayCheck is Europe's leading travel planning portal and travel experience sharing website. The website, available in ten different languages, attracts a number of 20 to 30 million visitors per month. These internationally recognized awards for excellence in service that HotelCheck has been awarding to hotels worldwide for the past eight years, are based on how thousands of users of this site rated their stay in hotels in 2012.

Over the past year, the hotel hosted many individual and group visitors, and also a series of national sports teams which chose Valamar Diamant due to its multifunctional sports facilities, rich and quality gastronomic offer and its wide-range wellness programme. In 2012 Valamar Diamant saw an increase in the number of guests from Great Britain (37%), Germany (23%), Austria (14%), Slovenia (17%), as well as 8% more guests from Croatia.

The hotel won a series of awards in 2012 for the quality of its service, among which is Croatian award for the third best four-star hotel in the Adriatic, as well as awards from additional two relevant international travel websites, TripAdvisor and Zoover.

Valamar has been investing substantially in the renovation of its properties, market repositioning and the improvement of the quality of its services, having invested around 225 million Euros over the last eleven years.
