One of the leading travel awards ceremonies around the globe, World Travel Awards unveiled its list of European Nominees for 2013 in categories of destinations, hotels, resorts, transport, travel agencies and other members of the travel industry. The industry’s biggest and most prestigious accolades, WTA awards are given to selected nominees based on the number of votes they receive from travel agents, tour operators, and hotel guests.

Two hotels from Valamar Hotels and Resorts, Croatia's leading management company in the tourism industry, are also competing for this prestigious award. Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik is nominated in the category “Croatia's Leading Hotel“, while Valamar Riviera Poreč is competing for the title of “Croatia's Leading Boutique Hotel“.

You can support your favourite Croatian hotel by casting your vote on the award’s website www.worldtravelawards.com, by June 16th this year. The European awards ceremony will be held on August 31st in Antalya, Turkey.

World Travel Awards (WTA) was established in 1993 with the purpose of acknowledging the most distinguished tourism subjects that grant supreme travel experience, with a level of quality that sets the standards for other industry members. A recognition from World Travel Awards is considered to be the ultimate hallmark of quality and one of the best recommendations for tourist facilities and products, with the awards being widely known as „the tourism Oscars“.
