Martinje in Pula is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a leisurely evening stroll through the city centre, discover Istria’s rich wine culture, savour authentic local flavours and meet winemakers in a relaxed atmosphere celebrating the arrival of the new wine and the culinary heritage of southern Istria.

The three-day event celebrates one of the region’s best-known wine traditions - the feast of St Martin. It marks the end of the grape-growing year, gives thanks for the harvest and heralds the beginning of the season for enjoying the new wine.

Every autumn, Pula’s Giardini become a lively gathering place for wine lovers, offering visitors the chance to meet winemakers from southern Istria. Alongside tastings of young and premium wines and a tempting selection of local specialities, the city centre comes alive with live music and a warm, festive atmosphere. An evening stroll along the Giardini during Martinje thus becomes a truly memorable experience.
