A STORY OF TANGO
In the performance by Quintetto Recreativo, the musicians will guide the audience through the history of tango and the emergence of tango nuevo, with a special focus on the works of Astor Piazzolla, who introduced Argentine tradition into the world of classical music. In Piazzolla’s hands, tango was no longer music solely for dancing. By experimenting and creating entirely new harmonic and rhythmic forms, he transformed tango into a genre suited for concert performance.
