FAKS Sings
The FAKS Festival is an international event of cultural, educational, and entertainment character, created with the aim of encouraging lifelong learning and a love for art and creative expression, as well as improving the quality of life of amateur artists. The festival consists of an international choir festival held in the spring and an international folklore and traditional dance festival held in the autumn. Each year, it gathers more than 800 amateur artists of all generations and professions, promoting intergenerational solidarity, inclusive participation of citizens in amateur musical activities and production, and fostering audience development.
The Festival of Amateur Cultural Creativity once again brings excellent amateur choirs from across Europe to Istria this year: performing are the Rubino Chamber Choir, along with guests – the Limerick Choral Union from Ireland and the TVT Choir from Hungary.
Admission to all festival events and concerts is free.
