The piano is the instrument to which F. Chopin devoted almost his entire creative output. Using a selection of his most important and magnificent works—four ballades—we will examine his approach to composition, the new paths he opened for interpretation and the use of the pedal, and how he brought the piano technique of his time to its peak. We will discover what Chopin entrusted to his piano, and through it, what he continues to entrust to us today.
