Following the success of previous editions, the Gušti Merkata event continues its story this year as well, bringing another season filled with local flavours, music, socializing, and a great atmosphere to Poreč.
The first Gušti Merkata of this year will take place on Monday, May 18, marking the beginning of a new edition of the event which, over the years, has become an essential meeting place for local residents, visitors, local producers, and all lovers of good food and wine. Throughout previous years, the event has gathered numerous local producers, and this year many interesting participants will once again present the very best of local products and Istrian tradition.
This year’s opening brings a special “Poreč story” featuring local educational and professional institutions. Tourism and Hospitality School Anton Štifanić Poreč will prepare the traditional Istrian jota stew, while Institute of Agriculture and Tourism Poreč will present its wines through a tasting session. Students of Art School Poreč will enrich the event with their performance, creating a charming musical experience for all visitors.
We invite everyone to join us this Monday from 10:00 to 13:00 at the city market for the first Gušti Merkata of the year and together open another season of great entertainment in Poreč.
