Alen Spada – guitar
Miroslav Tovirac – bass

Kristian Terzić – keyboards

Kristian Terzić Band brings a powerful blend of modern jazz fusion, creating a musical space where composition and spontaneity merge into an organic whole, and every performance becomes a unique sonic journey filled with emotional improvisation that transforms the concert into an immersive musical experience.

Kristian Terzić is a pianist, keyboardist, and composer whose musical expression develops at the crossroads of modern jazz fusion and contemporary instrumental music. His approach to the piano is characterized by a strong sense of melody, rich harmonies, and an open space for improvisation.

Through the Kristian Terzić Band project, he gathers outstanding musicians with whom he develops an original repertoire based on the combination of composition and spontaneous musical dialogue. Their music often builds a dramaturgy similar to a film score – from intimate, almost meditative moments to powerful collective climaxes.

He draws inspiration from artists such as Chick Corea, Joe Zawinul, Herbie Hancock, and Yellowjackets, while maintaining a personal sound focused on creating an atmosphere that leads the audience into a deeply emotional concert experience.

As a performer, Terzić places special emphasis on dynamics and interaction on stage, where the band responds through improvisation to the moment, the space, and the audience. It is precisely this spontaneity that makes every Kristian Terzić Band concert a unique event.

At this year’s Rovinj Spring Jazz Festival, the band will perform original jazz fusion material, compositions from their first album, as well as pieces from an upcoming album. Several new compositions will be premiered for the first time, never previously performed or recorded.

TRIBUTE TO DINO DVORNIK

MIRON HAUSER – conductor
SABINA HEBIRI – vocals
MARIO HULJEV – vocals

Almost twenty years have passed since the untimely passing of Dino Dvornik, the Croatian king of funk, whose style, versatility, energy, innovation, musicality, and individuality introduced unprecedented novelties into Croatian music, pushing boundaries and setting new production standards.

Singer, performer, composer, lyricist, producer – Dino Dvornik embodied all of these roles within his unique creative personality – and even more: as a multi-instrumentalist, author, and arranger, he set new standards through his music, creatively and skillfully combining musicality, humor, dance rhythms and styles, as well as technological innovation aligned with global achievements.

From his first solo studio album simply titled Dino Dvornik, through collaborations with Zlatan Stipišić Gibonni, Josipa Lisac, Rambo Amadeus, Davor Gobac, Songkillers, and many others, to his final seventh studio album Pandora’s Box and the posthumously awarded Porin Lifetime Achievement Award, Dino Dvornik’s artistic legacy has left an indelible mark on Croatian music and permanently entered the collective consciousness of generations – both those who grew up with Dino and those yet to come.

The Croatian Radiotelevision Jazz Orchestra pays tribute to his legacy with performances of hits that have since achieved anthological status, such as Pelin i med, Ti si mi u mislima, Ja bih preživio, Zašto praviš slona od mene, Jače manijače, Ljubav se zove imenom tvojim, Rušila sam mostove od sna, and many others. Joining the Croatian Radiotelevision Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Miron Hauser are outstanding vocalists Sabrina Hebiri and Mario Huljev.

The Croatian Radiotelevision Jazz Orchestra, the only professional ensemble of its kind in Croatia, ranks among the world’s longest-running big bands through its continuous activity spanning nearly eight decades. It was founded in the 1946/1947 season as the Radio Zagreb Dance Orchestra for radio broadcasts and recordings, and over time began performing publicly. In addition to participating in numerous public broadcasts and independent concerts both in Croatia and abroad, since 2000 it has maintained its own concert series recorded or broadcast live on Croatian Radio’s Third Programme.

From the leadership of its first conductors Zlatko Černjul, Miroslav Killer, Milivoj Körbler, and Nikica Kalogjera, through Miljenko Prohaska, to Silvije Glojnarić, Saša Nestorović, and Andreas Marinello, the orchestra has developed into one of the most influential jazz ensembles on the Croatian scene and a true nucleus of top jazz musicians. One of the orchestra’s particularities is that most of its members are active not only as performers but also as composers and arrangers.

Miljenko Prohaska, who led the orchestra from 1955 to 1989, directed its programming towards domestic repertoire, helping shape a distinctive style recognized internationally. This practice continues today through concerts featuring original works by orchestra members and collaborations with Croatian musicians of various genres. At the same time, leading figures of the international jazz scene regularly appear as soloists and conductors. All of this has been documented in audio and video recordings preserved in the HRT archives and in numerous award-winning discographic releases. The latest release, and also Miron Hauser’s authorial album, My Cuba, won the Porin Award for Best Jazz Album in 2024. Since the 2019/2020 season, the artistic director of the HRT Jazz Orchestra has been Miron Hauser.

Miron Hauser (Pula, 1985) graduated in jazz trombone from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz under Ed Neumeister and later earned a master’s degree at the Giuseppe Tartini Conservatory in Trieste. During his studies, he attended seminars and workshops led by prominent jazz musicians and educators. His first encounters with jazz came even before formal education as a member of the Croatian Youth Music Jazz Orchestra (2004–2012), where he collaborated with internationally renowned jazz artists including Toshiko Akiyoshi, Joseph Bowie, John Hollenbeck, Dave Liebman, Peter Erskine, Jim McNeely, Miljenko Prohaska, Yellowjackets, Randy Brecker, Bob Mintzer, and others.

Since 2011 he has been a member of the HRT Jazz Orchestra, where he has also performed with numerous eminent international jazz musicians. He is one of the founders of the JazzIstra Orchestra, where he works as an arranger, composer, conductor, and trombonist. He is also a member of the Slovenian-Cuban ensemble Los Señores, an occasional guest of Cubismo, and has performed with the Cuban salsa group Maykel Blanco y su Salsa Mayor. From 2011 to 2016 he was a permanent member of the pop band Jinx. He has collaborated with numerous Croatian pop artists, including Oliver Dragojević, Nina Badrić, Natali Dizdar, and Gibonni. From the ensemble’s founding until 2019, he was a member of the jazz sextet B’s Funstallation as a tenor trombonist, composer, and arranger. He is a three-time recipient of the Croatian Musicians Union Status Award for Best Jazz Trombonist and a multiple Porin Award winner. On his first authorial album, My Cuba (Cantus, HRT, 2024), recorded with the HRT Jazz Orchestra, he presented himself as a composer, arranger, trombonist, and conductor. He has served as artistic director of the HRT Jazz Orchestra since the 2019/2020 season.
