Matija Cvek is one of the most prominent Croatian singer-songwriters of the younger generation. His musical style, skillfully blending pop, soul, and funk, together with his emotional lyrics, quickly established him as one of the most authentic names on the Croatian music scene. He first attracted public attention with the singles “Visine,” “Praviš me ludim,” and “Ptice,” while his major breakthrough came with his debut album “Izbirljivo i slučajno” (2021), which won the Porin Awards award for Album of the Year. With his second album “Vile se ovdje igraju” (2023), he further confirmed his status as one of Croatia’s leading artists.
