Penelope's Thread: Communities of Care

On Tuesday, 22 September, at 7:00 p.m., the Heritage Museum of the Poreč Region will host the opening of the contemporary textile art exhibition “Penelope’s Thread – Communities of Care”.

The “Penelope’s Thread” project is dedicated to contemporary textile art and its connection with traditional forms of textile work. Taking textile as a medium that has accompanied everyday life, creativity and human relationships for centuries, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on care, connection, togetherness and the relationships that shape communities.

Through contemporary artistic approaches, textile goes beyond its role as a material or traditional craft and becomes a means of artistic expression, storytelling and exploring social relationships.

The exhibition “Penelope’s Thread – Communities of Care” will remain open until 20 October.
