Old way Mass
The Festival of Old-Church Folk Singing will be held this year to help preserve traditional music. The festival is part of the Summer of Culture held at Sveti Petar u Šumi and will feature the performances of church choirs, vocal groups and individual performers of folk church songs from various parts of Istria and Croatia, as well as from abroad. A number of other events, including an ethnomusicology symposium, will also be organised. Sveti Petar u Šumi is a town where old-church folk singers and enthusiasts are brought together, and whose people carefully safeguard their heritage.
