At the invitation of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, the Istrian County was given the opportunity of a free institutional participation at this year's GOOD food fair in Udine. The fair was held from 16 until 18 October 2009.

This was an opportunity for the Istrian County Administrative Department for Tourism, in collaboration with the Croatian Chamber of Commerce - Pula County Chamber, to invite the Istrian producers to present themselves at the said fair. They accepted the invitation and on this occasion Lanterna Fishing Association from Pula, Zigante tartufi d.o.o. from Plovanija (Buje), Vina Degrassi d.o.o. from Bašanija (Savudrija) and MIH d.o.o. from Poreč exhibited and were selling their products.  
All the products were exhibited at the 36m2 stand where the visitors could get the promotional material of the Istrian Tourist Board and AZRRI - Istrian Rural Development Agency from Pazin.
This year's was the 2nd edition of the GOOD fair which is held every two years and according to what the organizers say, when compared to the 1st 2007 edition, there were 35% more visitors as well as 30% more exhibitors.
