Another good performance for the farm Stojnić, which has been active since 1950 in an area not far from Poreč. Anton and Nivio carry on a century-old tradition with passion and run a specialized olive grove of 5 hectares with 1,500 trees of local varieties. In the last harvest 200 quintals of olives were produced, with a yield of about 28 hectolitres of extra virgin olive oil. There are four selections proposed to the panel, the Extra Virgin Perlazzi, Kleno, Santa Marina and Laron, which we recommend. It is a beautiful intense limpid golden yellow colour with delicate green hues. Its aroma is ample and elegant, with vegetal hints of artichoke and chicory, enriched by aromatic notes of mint, basil and rosemary. Its taste is complex and rotund, endowed with a flavour of country vegetables and a distinct almond finish. Bitterness and pungency are present and harmonic. It would be ideal on lentil appetizers, grilled porcini mushrooms, spinach salads, barbecued radicchio, minestrone with vegetables, pasta with meat sauce, baked blue fish, pan-seared game birds or animals, hard mature cheese.
