The Oliva Beach is situated on the island of St. Nicholas, just opposite the city of Porec port. The island is covered with autochtonous forest of black oak and some pine trees. The beach is a low- lying partly pebbly, partly constructed in the shape of a round pool on one side of the break-water and a concrete plateau on the other side of the break- water. Part of the sun bathing area extends across a grassy surface of a small pine park. The beach can be safely approached via paths which are paved in stone or concrete. The paths lead through a pine-tree park with sport facilities. The beach is located close to the Fortuna hotel, but it also serves as a local beach. The beach has sanitary facilities, life-saving and first-aid equipment. The beach participates in local and regional actions on environmental education in cooperation with Eco-schools and tourism board, such as cleaning actions and information about protected species. The beach will display environmental information on several boards, including the one in the camp and on the beach itself.
