Olive oil producers

Uljara Benvegnu

Buje-Buie

Details:

A brilliant performance for the farm Benvegnu in Krasica, in the district of Buje. It was founded in 2006 by Remiggio Benvegnu and is a small estate with about 5 hectares of olive grove and 1,000 trees of typical varieties. In the last harvest 90 quintals of olives were produced, with a yield of 16 hectolitres of extra virgin olive oil, and 2 quintals were purchased, for a total of 18 hectolitres. Once again our panel recommends the excellent Extra Virgin Benvegnu, which is an intense limpid golden yellow colour with warm green hues. Its aroma is ample and harmonic, endowed with vegetal notes of chicory, thistle and lettuce, together with strong aromatic hints of mint and rosemary. Its taste is clean and elegant, with a flavour of country vegetables, black pepper and an almond finish. Bitterness and pungency are present and balanced. It would be ideal on seafood appetizers, boiled beans, lentil salads, baked potatoes, vegetable soups, risotto with ovoli mushrooms, stewed shellfish, tuna tartare, baked poultry or lamb, mozzarella cheese.

Number of trees: 1000
