Laguna

Poreč-Parenzo

For many years, the largest winery in the Croatian part of Istria has been an integral part of the Poreč food giant Agrolaguna, which, in addition to wine, also markets excellent extra virgin olive oil and cheese. Laguna wines are a logical continuation of the centuries-old tradition of winemaking and viticulture in Poreč, which, with its wine Institute and events, is the most important city on the map of wine areas of this part of Croatia. Their vineyards are planted on different types of soil - from the deep red soil in the southernmost position near Vrsar to the deep white soil in Brtonigla in the northwest of Istria, and they have a rich assortment. Istrian malvasia predominates among the white varieties, and cabernet sauvignon among the red ones. They have three lines of bottled wines on the market. The fresh line, dominated by Istrian malvasia, contains 11 labels, while the middle line, under the Vina Laguna Festigia brand, consists of seven labels, among which Castello is the most dominant cuvée. Five labels are offered in the top line of Laguna Festigia Riserva, of which single vineyards Istrian malvasia Vižinada stands out.
