Benvenuti

Motovun-Montona

The tradition of winemaking and viticulture in the Benvenuti family has been ongoing for many years, as in other families from Kaldir, a small town near Motovun, known for its viticulture and fruit growing. At the beginning of this century, Livio Benvenuti started a small family winery with his sons Alberto and Nikola, and they put the first wine on the market in 2003. Since then, the Benvenuti winery has been on the rise and every few years it launches a new label on the market. They started with two wine labels, fresh malvasia and teran aged in wood, and today they are present on the market with three lines of wine. In the traditional line, fresh Istrian malvasia, rosé, a cuvée of international grape varieties and teran, and the sweet Corona grande coupage particularly stand out. Aged malvasia and teran from the Anno domini line confirm their quality every year and are the holders of a number of awards. The pinnacle of the winery, a kind of reserva della famiglia, are two labels from the single vineyard line that are only released on the market in the best vintages: Santa Elisabeta teran and San Salvatore muscat.
