The Gran Galà della Cucina Italiana is a highly anticipated event celebrating Italian cuisine, where, at the end of each year, the best restaurants and their chefs are honored through the 50 Top Italy online guide, showcasing the excellence of Italian products under the Made in Italy brand. This year’s awards ceremony for the best Italian restaurants located outside of Italy took place on December 15 at Teatro Manzoni in Milan, and was accessible to all interested viewers via online streaming.

On the latest 50 Top Italy 2026 list, the renowned Agli Amici Rovinj, led by Italian chef Emanuele Scarello, has once again distinguished itself as one of the world’s most notable gastronomic destinations.

In the 50 Top Italy 2026 guide – I Migliori Ristoranti Italiani nel Mondo, Agli Amici Rovinj achieved an impressive 9th place among the best Italian restaurants globally, confirming its consistent excellence and the international recognition of this Rovinj culinary gem.

Emanuele and Michela Scarello, owners of the iconic Agli Amici restaurant in Udine, opened the Rovinj branch, which quickly became a landmark venue, seamlessly blending Italian culinary tradition with the local Istrian environment. Situated within the luxurious Grand Park Hotel, with stunning views over Rovinj, the restaurant has become synonymous with fine dining in Croatia.

Agli Amici Rovinj opened in 2021 and, by the end of 2022, had already achieved remarkable success, ranking 11th on the 50 Top Italy Al Mondo 2023 list.
