Beauty of The Sea Moored off The Coast of Novigrad: Istria on The Route of Global Celebrities

The luxurious yacht of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has been seen for the last couple of days off the Istrian coast, more precisely next to Mareda, on the outskirts of Novigrad. The arrival of one of the wealthiest people in the world is yet another sign of how Istria has become a must-see destination for global celebrities.

Discrete luxury, exquisite gastronomy, pristine nature and a quiet atmosphere have long attracted famous faces seeking to find a perfect balance between privacy and pleasure. With its authentic charm, Istria has become a region that offers much more than the usual tourist destinations.

Through the years, numerous famous visitors have chosen precisely Istria as their holiday destination, enjoying the nature of the Brijuni archipelago, strolling through the historic streets of Pula, visiting vineyards and exploring indigenous wine varieties…

World famous musicians, actors and athletes staying in Istria are not uncommon, and the sight of luxurious yachts has become somewhat of a feature during summer months.

The arrival of Bezos’ impressive yacht represents a marker of the status which Istria has silently developed during the last few decades. A region which doesn’t seek out attention, but definitely deserves it, and is surely positioning itself among elite Mediterranean destinations - sophisticated, elegant and authentic.
