Final selection for the Vinibuoni guide is taking place in Istria

- The Istria Tourist Board has been granted the exceptional honour of hosting the prestigious final wine evaluation for the renowned Vinibuoni d'Italia guide -

The Vinibuoni d’Italia guide is holding its final wine selection beyond Italy’s borders, for the second time and in collaboration with its long-standing partner, the Istria Tourist Board, as well as the Croatian Sommelier Club and Aminess Hotels & Resorts.

The grand finale in Istria will take place on October 2 and 3 at the Aminess Maestral Hotel in Novigrad.

“We are deeply happy and honored to further strengthen our long-standing collaboration with Istria,” said Mario Busso, editor of the Vinibuoni d’Italia guide. “Since 2011, the guide has featured a special section devoted to the indigenous varieties of this remarkable region, made possible by the enthusiasm and collaboration of Denis Ivošević, Director of the Istria Tourist Board. In the coming months, we will continue to savour the wines sent by Istrian winemakers, deepening our understanding of the region's rich viticultural and winemaking traditions.”

Each year, the Touring Club Italiano publishes the Vinibuoni guide in collaboration with nearly one hundred commissioners across Italy. After a meticulous selection process, regional coordinators have handpicked over 700 wines from more than 35,000 samples submitted for the new edition of the guide.

These exceptional wines, having scored over 91 points, have earned the prestigious "Corona" award. In the final, they will compete for a place in the TOP 300, the highest honour bestowed by the guide. As every year, the selections were conducted through rigorous blind tastings. The wines participating in this prestigious event represent the pinnacle of winemaking craftsmanship.

The event offers an exhilarating opportunity for all those immersed in the world of wine and eno-gastronomic tourism, reaching its grand finale with the exclusive "La Notte delle Corone", hosted by the Istria Tourist Board and the Aminess Maestral Hotel. This gala dinner, featuring exquisite Istrian culinary delicacies, will be elevated by a tasting of over 700 wines from the final selection.
